Our Mission

Drone Racing NZ is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport of FPV (First Person View) drone racing throughout New Zealand. We believe that drone racing represents the perfect blend of technology, skill, and adrenaline, making it one of the most exciting emerging sports in the world.

What is Drone Racing?

Drone racing is a competitive sport where pilots control custom-built racing drones through challenging obstacle courses at high speeds. Pilots wear FPV goggles that provide a real-time video feed from the drone's camera, creating an immersive flying experience that feels like you're actually sitting in the cockpit.

Races typically involve multiple pilots competing simultaneously on the same course, with speeds often exceeding 150km/h. The combination of high-speed flight, technical skill, and strategic racing makes drone racing an incredibly exciting sport to both participate in and watch.
